Hi all! Yizhi here, one-star senior representing the Mizukume.

Here are some guides if you don’t know how to wear a kimono, tie a tie, that sort of stuff.

Please dress well if you’re attending the Sai no Kawara opening! It’s important that the event goes well for us. If you don’t want to dress up or hate formalwear, firstly, that is understandable and I know some just don’t have a taste for that. Secondly, then don’t show up.

Just kidding, but that is the official stance as the seniors will throw a fit if we have to deal with anyone sloppily dressed (minus a few exceptions) on top of Opening Night duties.

Good day, Sutoku Alliance. Lieutenant Matoba Seiji here, with new orders.

By now I hope you have all seen our boss's words regarding attending the opening of the Tamamo Clan and the Shuten Clan's new facilities in the Underground. You may have noticed some disparaging comments from the leaders of the other clans towards my fellow Lieutenant, Sakamoto-san, regarding agreements he had made on our behalf in negotiating the recent truce.

The Sutoku Alliance does not traditionally choose the sword over the pen, you may have noticed. Instead of chasing aggressive expansionist policies, the clan views it as preferable for all if the city remains in a state where business can be conducted freely. Of course, a preference for peaceful resolutions does not mean that we are going to sit idly by as other clans lay claim to resources that do not belong to them, or to toss around threats towards our members as if we will take them lying down.

The Shuten pride themselves on their appearances and tight-knit community. I would like us to demonstrate that our unity is stronger.

Therefore, for those attending the opening celebrations, I am strongly suggesting adherence to a sharp dress code. For those that prefer suits: excellent materials and fit, shined shoes, clean and pressed shirts. Please ensure that your Sutoku pins are displayed at your lapel if you are not engaging in subtlety at the time. Kimono and dresses should be elegant and of good make. No one has to know how much you really paid as long as you can pull off the expensive look, yes? Those who are experienced with fashionable things, I ask that you help out your peers.

The Sutoku Alliance has a number of department stores and clothing retailers in its shopping districts. Sakamoto-san and I have negotiated discounts in exchange for the advertising of our members wearing their clothes, so do be sure to give them some credit if anyone is eying you up. Sutoku press will also be present at the event in order to advertise the new facilities and will be focusing on our presence as well, so put on a pretty face.

If you require financial aid, I will make forms to request it available at the clan offices in Konoha. Please, feel free to raise any further questions here.

As the Daitengu has noted, attendance is not mandatory. But if you appreciate what Sakamoto-san has done to bring us all a return to prosperity, I believe the show of solidarity would be meaningful.

Please consider it. And remember that wars are not won only with power, but with politics.

[It's only been about an hour or so after the Enma made his brief statement at the press gathering, and one would think that wouldn't be enough time for the media to begin scoping around for officers to interrogate... right?

She was pretty wrong about that! Hence why it looks like she's on a roof? With a breeze gently blowing through her hair.]

Shall we agree on an official statement we should be giving to the press if we're by chance... cornered by them at any point? I suppose we could just try to avoid them but...

I talked to some of the shops.

Got some of them to agree to get everyone some clean clothes if the rain messed everything up. It's not much but looks are important or something.

hizen used his rank to get a clothes drive/charity going on for the city. handwaving the logistics here but assume everyone gets at least one set of nice clothes from a shop of their choice.
i really just wanted an excuse for everyone to get a nice yukata for the summer so assume there are definitely some kimono shops with summer deals, too. ( ◡‿◡ *)

[Well, if anyone was still waiting to put a face to the terrible number puzzle that got posted a while ago, here's your chance, but only if you're in Enma. The fact that it's locked to the Enma faction is exactly why Fukuda has deigned to use video, since everyone that works in Kaigo no Bou has seen his weird face before. He's just the office hole-in-head man. And right now he looks pretty banged up. He's clearly been out in the blood rain, but has been somewhat haphazardly wiped off, and is inside now.]

Ah, since Cain said I'm supposed to stay put, I tried to think of other ways I could help, and Captain Shiki said I could try to keep tabs on everyone. So I thought I'd ask everyone if they can tell me what their status is currently? And how things are looking out there.

[He pauses, scratching at his head and revealing some intense bandaging on his arm.]

I know that the blood rain can mess with your head pretty badly, so if you start feeling strange, I think it's okay for you to take a break. Being inside helps a little.

[ Yep, it's another one of these. From within one of the courtyard's of Mizukume (protected from the blood rain by the seals on the building) we have Musashi, looking a little rundown and just a bit beat up, setting up the video and taking in a deep breath before speaking. ]

Okay.

All my foxes out there, this is Musashi speaking. And I promise... I promise... I'm actually here. And I'm not going away.

And we've done some headcounts here at Mizukume and... I know some of you need to check in and make that same promise. If not for my sake, then for others out there looking for you.

[ She realizes that feels a little heavy, but it was her responsibility as a Lieutenant to do so. Still, she does eventually manage a smile. ]

We're gonna make it through this together, okay? Just... want to hear from everyone. Even if it's just a "hi, I'm okay".

[ it takes ryouma a little bit to get around to this, and one can see why just looking at him. his skin has a greyish pallor, and he looks like he should really be sleeping, not working, but unfortunately, ryouma doesn't have the luxury at the moment. aside from that, both hands are bound up in bandages made of strips of cloth, but he tries to keep his arms folded so no one will notice that. it's fine. listen to what he has to say instead!! ]

How is everyone out there? How can we help? We need to make sure everyone is safe and accounted for. We may need volunteers to head out to search for anyone who doesn't report in.

Ydris has also insisted that I tell you all that they are offering their home as a safe haven to anyone who needs it... and the food is good! I can vouch for that myself!

[ Majima is definitely sitting in Emily's clinic, his usual black eye patch replaced with a soft, white medical one. Probably not surprising, his apartment definitely burned down the other day. Among other misfortunes.

[ The woman on camera is petite with a pretty face. Her hair had been braided back neatly at some point, but now loose strands of it hang around her face. Her clothes are loose and androgynous; always in rough-spun breeches and sturdy boots. She is sitting in what appears to be one of the Tamamo pleasure dens, the phone balanced on its side with a stand so she can speak to it without holding it.

That's as far as she's gotten with technology, it mostly baffles her, but she has something to say: ]

Isonade hunters. Listen well. All Shark Giants are capable of a deadly, four-legged charge attack and they swipe at you as they come into range. Dodge to the side, not backwards, so that you may more easily circle to their back.

Bait and kite them until you are able to land your backstab cleanly. Their hide is tough, you must commit in full. But they will fall swiftly if their spine is severed.

If you have not the poise to withstand their charges, you must stay at range from them and work slowly, steadily. They will tire with the cumulative damage to themselves.

Gather as many Haniwa as you can to take with you. They have no particular defense against accursed attacks, these will be a great boon to you as a projectile. Do not linger long with them in your possession, however, or it will be you who suffers from their taint.

[ She goes silent for a moment. Studying the camera, something she is not used to speaking to. Her dark eyes are ever so slightly disconcerting, a little distant and empty.

But she quirks a small, courteous smile, ]

[Video] Locked to the Tamamo Clan

[Nie Huaisang hasn't had time or energy to delve too deeply into the exploits of his fellow Tamamo Clan members and skipped the latest faction get-together in favor of rest. He's not a particularly outgoing person outside what's necessary for his job. And after his recent promotion and directive from Tenkohime, he's found a bit of a second wind.

The video opens with what appears to Nie Huaisang sitting at a table in a flowing garment of his own design combining a crane kimono pattern with a midnight blue hanfu cut. His hair's loose aside from a bun on top of his head with a couple of silver bird kanzashi sticking out of it. At the moment, he's not wearing any cosmetics but that's likely to change during the course of this stream.

In contrast to his appearance, he's in what looks to be the most depressing, rundown shithole apartment in all of Jigoku-cho. There are visible water stains and cracks in the wall behind him as well as an assortment of inexpensive decorative wall scrolls being used to cover them up as best as he can. One day he and his roommate will be able to afford to live somewhere better than this but for the time being, this is still home.

After a moment, he speaks with a good deal more confidence and casual authority than he used back during the initial faction meeting about the turf war.]

Good day to you all. I was wondering how the skirmishes in the Underground are going. How is the strategy I put forth working out so far? A situation report from those in the thick of it would be very helpful in deciding what the best course of action for moving forward will be.

[If Tenkohime wishes for him to break the stalemate with the Shuten, then he'll put his effort toward that. After their recent meeting, he's much more at ease under her leadership and it shows. But before he can do anything to exert his new influence over this operation, he needs more information about what everyone is doing and what their individual resources are.]
