[ Tenkohime doesn't really have a western style office, but rather begins her video in an opulent audience chamber, deep in Mizukume. Her phone is being held by one of her hand-maidens, one of the others preparing her pipe. It is eventually placed at her lips and lit with a single match... a few puffs later, and the woman finally speaks, her tails swishing lazily behind her. ]

Good day to all of you... [ Her voice drips with a dreamy softness, though lower in pitch. There is no mistaking her status from her words; she is the leader here.

She lets out a trial of smoke. ]

Like that oafish brute Toraguma, I'm making a few announcements with regards to the Night Parade, specifically what my clan is offering...

[ Another puff, another exhale. Her ears twitch. ]

Aside from some of the best festival food you will ever try, one our bathhouses along the parade route has offered itself up as a den for a gathering of wonderful... union~

[ What does that mean? ]

I know so many of you are worked up and could use a little relief... why not indulge? There are few kinks that a good orgy can't work out. [ She chuckles, brightly, tapping at the end of her pipe. ]

Of course, participating is voluntary... but if my workers desire, they can fill out a card for each satisfied participant they engage with, and I'll happily grant them a luxurious bonus for their efforts.

[ She looks pointedly at the camera, eyes narrowing. ] This, Toraguma, is how we show our pride... A follower of Tamamo will never show shame in being a bitch.

[ Her expression shifts back to something more pleasant. ]

[ Tenkohime, for her part, didn't look offended... in fact, her features soften some, gently shaking her head. ]

It's alright, little kit. I understand your concerns. But my magic will be more than enough to keep you all safe... at least within the walls of buildings under my control.

Worries will give you wrinkles, you know. [ Said with a slight giggle, a well meaning tease. ]

[ There's one more bow, though it's slower this time, a little embarrassed for her awkwardness but earnest in her appreciation for the gentle answer. When Tenkohime mentions wrinkles, she can't help but giggle a little in turn, mostly at herself. ]

I know, my lady. I'll be more careful. But thank you for reassuring me. I'll do my best to make you proud!

And of course... [ A long drag from her pipe, a soft trail of smoke leaving her lips, not unlike a dragon in its shape. ]

Remember, you don't have to participate in that if you don't want to. There are other jobs. Being a 'bitch' isn't something everyone can manage, even under my guidance.

[ That has her pausing and considering; in some ways, it seems like such a big thing. In others, it's- isn't it what's expected? And maybe- maybe living a little might be nice. No one hounding her, no one chasing her, no responsiblities to anyone or anything. Nothing lasting and no worries to have. She's not sure it will fit. But she's not one to back down from a challenge.]

Would it be all right if I tried it?

[ She doesn't doubt her own strength. She's stood up against men who've killed people, some right in front of her; survived things that people like her shouldn't survive. She knows how to buckle down and work for what she wants, and she knows how to search and fight and handle herself when things get rough. Maybe this strength isn't one she's ever tried before but... that doesn't mean it won't be something she's suited for.

She's never had the chance to explore like this, not really. Even Onomichi was a place to hide. But she doesn't want to not try it just because it isn't for her. She doesn't want to give up before she even attempts it. ]

If that's what you want... [ A soft hum. ]

Stick with one of the senior girls, if you can. Don't jump in head first. Watch, and learn.

If you do well at the Parade, I'll consider moving you to one of the clubs, as an apprentice.

[ She has... very little idea what she wants. The one time she got what she wanted, she had to give up everything she had to have it and it turned out she didn't want that either. She's honestly a little afraid of wanting anything, of dreaming anything, considering how it turned out last. But that just means she'll have to try things until something clicks. ]

Yes, my lady. I'll make sure I pay attention.

[ She wants to ask what happens if she doesn't do well, what she'll do with her if she fails or makes a scene or doesn't like it. She wants to tell her, now that they're actually talking, that she can sing and dance, and she's very good as a bartender and a hostess. That she can cook and run merchandise and that she can do plenty of things, if she's just given the chance.

She doesn't say that. Instead, she bows her head again. ]

[ In truth, Tenkohime already knew a lot of those things about the girl, like all of those contracted under her. She doesn't doubt there's a place for Haruka to find work, work she even enjoys on some level.

But she also knows saying "just do whatever you want" doesn't motivate people.

So she simply nods, giving a wave goodbye to the girl. She'll see how this plays out. ]
