I'm known as "Monts" and I'm an officer from the Tamamo Clan. Happy to make your acquaintance. With the new crop of Lost Souls that have found this corner of hell, I hope you've settled in with whatever faction you're assigned to and that you had a great welcome. 💖

Anyway, I want to get to know some of you a little bit more! It's nothing invasive, promise. What I'm proposing is...!





You see, I used to work at a magical cafe called "The Midnight Grind." Currently, I don't work as a barista but I'll have to polish up my skills again. These are a small sample of the drinks I would serve to customers from all different corners of all the different worlds!

Anyway, just look at this image and see which drink and description you're drawn to most, and let me know! It gives me a good idea of what to make for others in the future. Just have fun with it! Oh and maybe tell me about your favorite drink?? ☕🍵

[ she gets lonely sometimes and mostly just sat alone in a room and wasted time by playing games. could a depressed person do that? no way!!! ]

And I take care of myself, so... [ a boisterous laugh. ] Ah, jeez! Maybe the vaporwave thingy then?? As long as I don't gotta drink it!

A little novel, but tasty.

Do you really only like drinking beer?
I guess with vampires, people always imagine them drinking just blood, wine, or both.

yeah it's mostly beer
blood's what we eat, but most of us drink alcohol for fun
some vampires probably like wine i guess? it's ok
the girls i ran with just all went with beer so that's what i grew up on

i guess i could probably try other things
but it's all stuff i've never really had before
it'd be kinda weird

[She was about to remark, "You sound like my grandma," but Monts figures Nazuna has had enough of old lady/aunty jokes. ]

It's never too late to try something new!
I'm talking with a friend in my faction to help me recreate it.

My boss (the witch i mentioned) created it herself and is very proud of it.
And since she's not here, I can admit that it's a fun and cute idea that actually tastes good as it looks.

But I'm pretty certain my skills aren't crap.

It begs the question of what kind of crap beer have you been drinking or do drink?

i just don't know if any of this tastes like crap cause i've never tried it

Asahi... Okay that one isn't that bad.
I like Kirin personally when I do go for beer.
Otherwise, I'm definitely a mixed cocktails or wine gal.

kirin's pretty good
but asahi's just a comfort drink you know?
nice and easy. goes down perfectly when it's hot out

I guess my food and drink taste have gotten used to the quality I would have at the cafe.
Oren is way too good sometimes.

But I miss my grandma's cooking the most actually.
Mexican food doesn't have to be extravagant to be super tasty.

wait, ah, that's the stuff like...
tacos and chips, right?
what's that like?

Haha, tacos and tortilla chips are pretty common now, huh?
But there's a good variety of soups, seafood, baked goods
Oh and tamales. Definitely can't forget about those.

There's a lot! I think you'd just have to look at what's being used and the type of dishes being made
And realize a lot of it is a result of blended cultures before it became known as Mexican food.

never tried em though. never tried any of that
not anything against you or your grandma, i just don't think i've ever eaten anything that wasn't blood

But that makes you relatively new compared to the concept of a vampire itself?

aren't they just humans that do magic?

i mean yeah i'm pretty new. you saw my age didn't you?
i'm not even forty yet
and the idea of a vampire that was never bitten is CRAZY new, for real! nobody else had even heard of it
but it makes sense when you think about it, right? like the first vampire had to come from somewhere

i'm not the first vampire. as badass as that would be. figure we should make that part clear

Does that mean you hate garlic?

witches are a lot crazier than i thought
and the story's not that weird. my mom was a vampire. that's all there is to it

It's been kind of a thing where it's commonly stated that vampires can be warded off by garlic for one reason or another, one of them being its smell
But garlic's delicious! Savory. Common ingredient and people love its strong flavors.
Too much though and your breath can definitely smell.
But I've heard that garlicky gyoza is a good pairing with beer.

i guess there are some smells i don't really like though? so that makes sense
like when you catch a whiff of a guy who hasn't taken a bath in a few days. that's pretty rancid

how expensive are those? i've been trying to buy the stuff i need with the cuddle money
but if they're worth it i'll dip into the fund

Gyoza isn't too expensive.
I think you can probably find them in ramen joints in the Shuten territory or some in our district.

I gotta say though, it sounds like you haven't experienced a lot despite how old you are.
What were you doing before you were in Jigokucho?
