Which might make this come off as way more passive-aggressive or official than is entirely intended. I mean, it's intended to be passive-aggressive, considering he is how he is, but he'll say the following with an utterly pleasant, head-tipped, eyes somewhat closed smile.]

First, let me introduce myself. My name is Sannan Keisuke, a recent arrival. I have been given the privilege [the way he says privilege tho] of joining the ranks of the Department of the Enma. I'm quite unfamiliar with this sort of technology, so forgive me if I do something incorrectly.

[He shifts slightly.] To the point then. I, and several of my fellow new arrivals, have been experiencing difficulty acquiring information about certain aspects of our duties. It must also be noted that fellow Lost Souls who shall remain nameless, but who report to other factions, have been greeted with information about rules, regulations, leadership, and even dress codes.

One wonders, then, if there are any such requirements for our faction. This is merely a personal inquiry, as I have little desire to pin any one person to responsibility they do not wish to hold. Therefore, if someone with more tenure and experience could see fit to enumerate upon such things for those of us newly arrived, I will gladly facilitate dissemination of such information to fellow newcomers, and alleviate any burden upon those already far busier than myself.

Thank you for your time, and for your efforts which have preceded our arrival. We will all assuredly do our utmost to do honor to the tasks set before us. [Thinking back. To arrival. And sharks.] No matter how interesting they may be.

Thank you, Officer Sannan, for your introduction. Due to unforeseen scheduling issues, New Lost Soul Orientation was dropped from the schedule. However, in the absence of an official orientation, I am making myself available to answer any questions you and others may have.

I'm merely used to leadership roles and familiar with the burden they place on those filling them. I'm sure no harm was intended in the orientation's unfortunate dismissal, and it was merely a result of tight schedules and due fatigue from the goings-on which preceded our arrival.

Thank you for taking the time to answer questions. I would like to know who our leadership is and if there is a dress code or any other usual expectations, though I'm certain others may answer those questions just as readily.

As for the matter of dress code; Officers on the field are expected to dress professionally. Suit, jacket, dress shirt, tie. Badge and rank insignia should be visible at all times. A safety-white harness is also required when performing duties in areas of the city with vehicle traffic.

You have my utmost gratitude for the insight and information. It seems as though our Department is in capable, if understandably busy, hands. I'll consult one of my more tenured fellow officers on proper placement of rank insignia and badge. I fear I'm hardly used to this type of Western dress, and may need personal guidance.

Of course. You're basically stepping in to do the parts of the job that Mr Enma doesn't seem to want to do, so you're an important part of our faction!

Do not be mistaken, officer, Lord Enma's presence has nothing to with matters of "want".

If anything, he'd work himself to his bones, if he was allowed to.

What do you mean by that? Are there things we don't know about that are occupying his time?

Not to be blunt, but we just had a city-wide curse. A city that is his job to run, and ostensibly to protect. All of the administrative divisions within the Department amount to extending his reach, certainly, but he is ultimately the highest executive force in the city.

To say he's busy would be an understatement.

Oh, sorry, of course he's busy right now! But I didn't mean that, I meant how even before all this we didn't see much of him the way the other faction leaders seem to be fairly public.

I was promoted shortly before all this Lost Soul business started, but I've been working within the Department for ages, and if you want my opinion on the matter, it's that Lord Enma just simply doesn't like being social.
