[ Okay hold on. Now he's trying to parse anything from the meat of the entry. But the most he can get is that one of the equations looks a little like one of the kaomoji he's seen. His pride, predictably, can't hold out long. ]

I don't think I've ever seen anything like this before. This must be more future-stuff. But I guess what does make sense, is that other people with modern hobbies would need to look for like-minded individuals too...

I don't think algebra and calculus are especially modern but maybe the puzzle itself? But yeah, you can find someone else to help you solve it!

But, I do like puzzles...if maths can be used for puzzles, then...it's a good skill to try.
