TEXT UN: 333

I've been thinking about puzzles lately. They can be good team building activities! So here's one to work on;
110020011102011’103 001 033032011-103110033102121 020033111103011 021032 113020021003020 011112011102121110020021032013 021103 121011030030033113. 121011030030033113 113001030030103, 121011030030033113 010033033102103, 121011030030033113 012111102032021110111102011. 113020001110 003033030033102 001102011 110020011 103110001021102103?

Hints;
1: Simplify

[PS: If you feel like your character would be able to solve this but you personally cannot or will not do math, you can dm me or hit me on discord for a hint/the answer! Otherwise please just bully Fukuda for this horseshit.]

This is not a teambuilding exercise, this is torture.

Oh that's a cool looking picture! Did you draw that yourself?

I
think something went wrong.

[ Tama's a liberal arts student from a horror VN set in 1922, and this is the scariest thing he has ever seen in his entire life. ]

I won't say that it's impossible because I want to believe that you wouldn't give an impossible riddle, but you may have dwindled the numbers of your "team" a little too quickly.

I get it. The joke is that this doesn't mean anything right?

But there's all the squiggly lines. And the letters are arranged in a cool pattern. Aren't you proud of your work?

Hate to break it to you then but it's not a very good puzzle.

I don't think that we have the same amount of knowledge regarding math

This has an answer?!

[ Okay hold on. Now he's trying to parse anything from the meat of the entry. But the most he can get is that one of the equations looks a little like one of the kaomoji he's seen. His pride, predictably, can't hold out long. ]

I don't think I've ever seen anything like this before. This must be more future-stuff. But I guess what does make sense, is that other people with modern hobbies would need to look for like-minded individuals too...

[ Given Tama made a post about reviewing a movie, he can't throw any stones. ]
kaientai: (067)

[personal profile] kaientai 2022-05-18 01:01 am (UTC)(link)
Well... no. I wouldn't know what sort of expertise someone would need to make sense of this, so maybe that's a clue?

I learned how to do that from merchants and sailors and it was never this complicated, I'll say that.

[ He actually knows mathematics to some degree but this? This still sucks. What kind of terrible bullshit have humans done to calculus. ]

What practical use does this have exactly
fuckdogramagra: (54)

not here

[personal profile] fuckdogramagra 2022-05-18 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
[ DAMN IT, THAT WAS HIS IDEA TOO. ]

No, I'm certain this must be modern. [ He's not certain at all, he's just from the countryside. ] It must be used for motorcars and phones and stuff, right?

But, I do like puzzles...if maths can be used for puzzles, then...it's a good skill to try.
