Hello. I have a question for all the Lost Souls:

What is love in your reality?

To be more specific, I am talking about the kind of love you find between two lovers. I realize how strange this question may sound. But this is very important to me and I would appreciate it if as many people as possible could reply to this with serious answers.

Trust and understanding... Yes, there cannot be love unless you trust your significant other.

Going by your definition, do you think it would be possible to fall in love with someone you never saw the physical appearance of, and talked with only for a limited time?

[ She already knows the answer to that question. But hearing someone else say it may help. ]

Well if we go by my understanding, it'd seem unlikely but still completely possible.

People have fallen in love with one another from letters or long distance relationships. A face to put words or a voice to would just help and not put any unrealistic expectations for one another.

Thank you. I've made some pretty severe mistakes in my past. And I think I already knew the answer I was looking for. But it's good to hear it confirmed in someone else's words.

My expectations were unrealistic. In more ways than one.

I was hoping for "love" to save me. For a certain someone to reach me. But that was never realistic. I wasn't expecting the right things from "love." I'd turned that word into something else.

Sounds heavy. I'm guessing you wanted to confirm if you were wrong out of a sense of guilt?

But I also do not want to give up on love. So next time... I want to make sure I'll do things right.

Well, love is all about learning, isn't it? But while it's good you don't give up on love, I think it's important to first forgive yourself before looking for it again. Otherwise, that guilt becomes baggage, and love is like being in a boat out at sea. Too many things inside will just drag you and your partner down. I'm sure you don't want that.

I don't know if I can forgive myself... And I yet don't want to wait either. I'm kind of a mess, ahaha. Really a sign I shouldn't be selfish and be more patient.
