[ Majima's feelings about Toraguma are mixed. That is not his oyaji, but that might also... be for the best... He wonders what it would take for him to feel actually connected to the Oni though. And he's starting from a place of respecting the life, unlike a lot of the Shutens. He picks loose a cigarette from his deck of Hi-Lites to fiddle with. ]

Usually it's that yer grateful that th'family is givin' ya a chance at a life ya weren't gonna have otherwise. Whether that feelin' is from th'money or th'influence; both.

[ This is assuredly a life he otherwise wouldn't have had and he doesn't know if he's grateful for that or if the weight of all the things he's left undone festers for him. ]
