I am! Or well, I'm from Japan, but it's not... especially much like this. You'd see a district like this in a bigger city than any of the ones from my province. And even in Tokyo there aren't demons as far as I know.

Really? The cities are even bigger than this? That's amazing-I think only the West has stuff kinda like this and it's nowhere near as huge. Japan must be a prosperous kingdom.

Have you ever driven a car then? Are there really buildings that are as tall as mountains?

Well, it's not a kingdom, per se! It's democratic so we have a prime minister that's elected by the people. Though there is still an Emperor, his position is more symbolic than anything.

[Anyway, lucky for Cain this is a dog meets dog situation, so while Fukuda is surprised, he doesn't seem to mind the contact now that it's been established that Cain can see him even when they are not touching.]

I have driven a car! I'm not especially good at it, though. And well, I suppose it depends on what you define as mountain height! I know the tallest building in my province, Fukui, is the Happiring Building, which is 90 meters tall. But the tallest building in Japan is the Yokohama Landmark Tower which is 296 meters tall!

Ah, a democracy. I remember Arthur talking about something like that. He seemed interested in introducing those concepts to the Central Kingdom.

[But man, those buildings sounded super tall!! Japan sounded like an amazing place, and once again Cain desperately wanted to see the Sage's world.]

Oh I see. Does this mean you also know what things like idols and Valentine's Day are? I once helped decorate a Christmas tree because Akira said it was a tradition, especially if you have kids.

Oh yeah...I mean Akira is the current sage, but the guy before them was from Japan as well. He's the one who told us about things like idols and maid cafes, and Valentine's Day!

Well, except it wasn't actually a holiday for the sage to be served by beautiful women apparently...but I guess no harm was done at the end. It is fun being a witch sometimes.

White Day...there sure are a lot of holidays in your land. It kinda goes along with my home village, really. We've got a festival for everything. Do you think we'll be able to do any of that type of stuff here? A lot of people in Enma don't seem to know how to have fun.

[Fukuda tenses up on reflex, just not used to.. casual contact like this?? He knows Cain isn't American since he isn't even from Earth but he imagines this is the sort of thing Americans might do. He's heard they are very friendly. He doesn't hate it. He will not protest. He has not forgotten the math but is also perfectly content to just chat.]

I hope so! I mean, even if Mr Enma doesn't do those sort of things, the other three leaders all seem like they'd want to encourage people to celebrate those sort of things. I'm sure we'd be allowed to participate too.

Though, White day isn't much of a fesitval. On Valentines day, traditionally, girls give chocolate to who they're interested in. And then on White day, a month later, if that person feels the same way, they give her a return gift.
