Good morning, everyone. I hope you're well.
[read: he hopes that you're not too hungover and that none of you died out there last night.]
Despite the different clans to which we've been assigned, we all find ourselves in strange territory in Jigoku-cho. It may look close to what several of us recognize as Japan, but as you might've already discovered, familiarity does not guarantee similarity. The other day, I met a man who could have easily been from my world, perhaps even my continent or country-- only to discover he hailed from a completely different planet.
So, I'd like to begin gathering information. [He's no Sutoku, but this is important to all of them, and-- as he's been taught-- there are no shortcuts when it comes to investigation.] The more that we know about our fellow lost souls, the more we will have to work from as we learn more about this place and why we're here. We can start with something simple. If you would like, please share where, and when, you are from.
I'll start. I am from Tokyo's 25th Ward, in Japan, on Earth, in the year 2005.
(ooc: feel free to threadjack around! ✌️)

[laughs in "haven't canon updated to the alien invasion part of the series" yet]
Is intergalactic travel commonplace in your reality? Humans haven't yet stepped foot on Mars in mine.

You need to pass a physical exam and get a license to show you're okay for wrapdrive - because how it makes you all sick and stuff - but yeah! Anyone can hop on a telepod or a lightdrive commuter or even a starship if a station is available!
And whoa...... You're right about that! We're technically all aliens and that's pretty cool. I haven't met anyone else who thought of it that way. That's a cool perspective. :)
[ hahaha.. solidarity in 'oh man wait until you get canon updated' moment right now. ]
Mars isn't the best place for humans in my world unless you want to do expeditions and stuff. At least that's what my Uncle Roderic told me. :? I do know a lot more humans prefer living on the moon or in the space communes that's between Mars and Earth. They're the best spots to go if you want to see the star showers! [ a chatty boy, clearly. ]
IM SORRY THIS NOTIF GOT EATEN
Do you feel as if your world is bigger, or smaller, for the ability to travel so far?
[wait a sec, he just noticed-- he's being complimented?]
Ah... Thank you, by the way. I'm not sure it was that cool, it was just an observation...
it's cool!!
And yeah! I KNOW my world got bigger since I took the leap and started to travel. I got to meet new friends and take on cool adventures and learn neat things along the way. :) Even if it goes rough or weird sometimes - like right now :P - I'll never regret traveling to the stars! You've always got to a risk if you want to do something big for yourself or for others!

[It's almost contagious. As difficult as his own journey has been, he can't say he regrets any of it-- what he's learned, who he's been fortunate enough to meet.]
What does an optimist like you make of a place like Jigoku-cho, then? It's definitely rough, although it's not as much as it could be. I expected a little more fire and brimstone from hell, for one.
