Food and drink, fancily dressed women... Festivals are the perfect chance for pillaging!
[Believe it or not, Ibaraki is actually taking her time to dress up for this.]
Umu! Yes, do take care none of you fall in the path of my enjoyment this evening. And if you do then be sure to entertain me properly. There's nothing more dangerous than a bored oni after all~!
[ooc: Want to plan something out? Feel free to contact me via pm, discord: billbill#6387, or plurk: mr_cynicalperson!]

Re: action jackson
[She actually expected this shit the moment she'd seen the outfit. It was fucking atrocious and she knew it. Ok, well... maybe atrocious was going too far, but it was anything but stylish even if she could give it a masculine flare for the sake of the fight.]
It's treated so it won't go up in flames. I'm not giving the audience a free peep show just because we're dueling again. You're the only one in the arena that gets that. Kami, but I knew you'd be immature about this. I'm just going to have to beat the snot out of you out there.
[She thrust the box at her, holding the weird necklace out where she could see it.]
But here, when you're done laughing, you said bring a gift. This is yours. But, before you put it on? Loser has to wear it tonight.
[Huh, why? It was a pretty gold necklace after all, or would Ibaraki figure out why it had that ring in the front.]
no subject
[Heat resistant clothing? Pfft, as if that would make a difference. There was more than one way to fry someone- oh what's this?
A choker... necklace? It's made out of gold is it?
...Ibaraki immediately wants it. Never mind the suddenness of it all. Or that she has no clue what it is.]
You're giving it to me? Why... and why would the laser have to wear it if you're giving it to me?
[Questions abound here! A clawed hand reaches out to snag it.]
no subject
Because, silly. The winner gets to attach this to that ring, and hold the strap for tonight. [She waggled the chain lead and its latch so she could see.] After tonight? You get to keep the necklace, and you can keep wearing it if you want. It's pretty.
Or you can convince someone else to wear it for you. But tonight? I plan to win, and you're going to wear that for me.
[Oh man, she knew she was taking a bit of a risk there. Oni were, in her experience, testy things when it came to being collared or shackled... Understandably. But it was just a night.]
no subject
[She squints at the necklace, then at the chain.... what? Hang on, give her a moment, this isn't necessarily a kink she's familiar with. Also since when are dog collars that intricate and pretty? She's more used to seeing something like steel, bulky collars and such.
This thing seemed a bit too... flimsy?
And Tenshi is insisting on having her wear it? Something doesn't add up here!]
Ha!? As if I will be! This is clearly a trap of some sort!
[There's probably, like, some sort of power dampening thing on it or such. Yes, that must be it! Grr.... curse this wily celestial!]
By the end of this, you'll be the one stuck wearing it!
no subject
And no. No enchantments. It was just a pretty gold necklace that doubled as a collar. Curling the leash up, she walked in close and looked her over, locking eyes with the oni and grinning fiercely.]
That's just what I expected you to say. Well fine. Bring your A game, I'll bring mine. And we'll see who wears the collar tonight very soon.
[there was a roar from the crowd outside, and Tenshi grinned more fiercely, spinning on her heel and storming out to the door. It was their turn to be up, and she wasn't going to give Ibaraki a chance to get a word in edgewise, not yet anyway. no giving away her actual secrets on what she had prepared for this fight as the door opened up to admit her out into the arena floor.
she did, however, make a bit of a show, waving at the hissing and jeering crowd. Of course they didn't like her. She was the Tamamo in this equation. her gaze, however, was carefully looking in all directions, scanning everyone while she gave Ibaraki time to come out. Nope...
No Celestials. GOOD.]
no subject
She still hasn't completely recovered her entire strength. But she's getting there.
She bursts into the arena, not paying the crowd any heed.
She's just here to beat down some silly dumbdumb celestial after all!]
Ready for your beating again!?
no subject
Look, she wanted to collar Ibaraki for a night. It wasn't that complicated. Or maybe it was.
Her right hand reached back over her shoulder, though that was the wrong shoulder. She wasn't grabbing for the very visible weapon on one side of her back. Instead, she gripped something back within her hair and flashed her pearly whites as the announcer called out for them to begin.]
No matter what you've got in store for me, I'm not losing this time!
[She yanked the hand around, and when she did she pulled the sword that she'd had out seemingly of thin air. There was a flash, though, and it flared into a brilliant light.]
Come on, Ibaraki. Show me what you showed the heavens the last time you came at them!
no subject
It would look a lot more awesome if she hadn't been wearing those overalls. It must be some sort of new thing she got and was no using Ibaraki as a guinea pig. Yeah, that must be it! Grr... so it is a trap after all.
Very well then! Her flames burst to life behind her as she rocketed forward. Whatever kind of trick it was she'll just have to blast through it! Her club was hefted over one shoulder and a snarl on her lips.]
Come on then!
no subject
When the Oni came raging in, flames raging behind her from those golden locks, Tenshi leaped back, ready for what was coming. Like last time, she was keeping nimbly to her feet, and the flare of the heat wasn't making her snarl in pain or shock this time. Thank the old man of the Tamamo. That enchantment was helping, even if she could definitely still feel the heat rising. Best not to test how much heat she could produce.
Tenshi tried to keep just ahead of the club, the blade whipping and slashing at the air just between them. It wasn't going to connect, but hopefully it'd keep Ibaraki back, all while the Sword of Hisou was getting a taste for, a feel for the energies of the oni. The Celestial had a nasty little surprise once her sword was sure just what her spiritual essence was, and as she whipped it back up, clearly ready to parry the club, it was likely to get a lot of that energy in its face.]
Nice to see someone's warming up to the fight! I've been looking forward to getting a little payback!
[Meanwhile the announcer was definitely playing up the fact that the two clearly seemed to know each other. Was it secretly some kind of oni/celestial rivalry? That was getting the bets flying.]
no subject
It doesn't help that clubs aren't exactly the nimblest out there. She still did her best to keep up with her body's natural, lithe build. The heat continues to sizzle the air around them. If she was in a different mindset, she might have used the fire to eat up the oxygen around Tenshi.
She is not, thankfully. Instead, she chooses to use the remaining energy and momentum in her club to swing it back around once more. There wasn't really much thought or strategy here. Just offense and more offense.]
Then you'll have to work even harder than this!
no subject
When she invoked the blade, it flared brilliantly at the point of the strike, the woman suddenly lunging in as the crowd roared with mounting excitement. There was a veil of crimson energy around her, just a little, but it was the blade that really took on the biggest change. It slashed and the power on it sent ripples through the air that almost felt like a watery haze.
As it moved to strike, Ibaraki could feel the energies there. It was like it was targeting the opposite of her element, like the weapon was trying to slam into her with energies that were her weakness! Though, when it did, she might catch the woman's hand turn very slightly. The flat of the blade was smacking in, not the edge. Whatever tricks she had up her sleeve, Tenshi didn't want to go too far.]
no subject
Her ears, however, were still sensitive, as was the rest of her senses. She could hear the woosh of the blade pushing itself towards her. A little too late as well. As the flat edge managed to find its mark through the haze.
Sending the oni reeling with a winded grunt!]
no subject
Lunging in while Ibaraki was reeling, she brought her knee up hard, all of the prodigious strength she had in the blow. She seemed not to notice the heat, though that wasn't entirely true. The heat was still there. It was definitely overwhelming, but she didn't singe or burn directly. she could keep this up for a while, but she didn't want to risk seeing just how long she could hold out. So, as she brought her knee up, she whipped the pommel of her sword in a strike meant to clock Ibaraki hard if her knee connected.
Time to ring the bell again. She hoped it worked this time, because she definitely needed to be close to let her blade charge up again.
no subject
Sending her back as she lashes out with one, crimson fist towards Tenshi. She still had no idea how that fancy sword of hers works. Only that she should separate Tenshi from that blade of hers.
Only, you know, she probably won't have the time to make a grab for it.]
no subject
Best defense is a good offense, I say!
[Spinning further, she was going with the flat of the Jian-style sword again. The energies were forming again. Less this time because she was in a rush, but they were still there, the thing trying to whip right into her back as she kept up and pressed the attack.]
no subject
Something difficult to do when that sword was building itself up once more while continuing to lash out. Leaving Ibaraki stuck attempting to dodge as she kept attempting to attack in return.]
Grr...! That's supposed to be my line!
no subject
[She had her dodging! Tenshi was actually elated by that fact. She hadn't had her dodging the last time they'd fought, but powering through it, and that was exactly what she needed her to be doing, to be constantly on the defensive, because neither of them was good about their defense. They were offensive creatures, or at least that was her take. Tenshi rolled through the flames, her clothes definitely singed but intact, though she herself was just sweating up a storm, showing the heat but not burning.
As the sounds of the crowd began to build, more and more taking in the fight with mounting pleasure and getting animated, she kept the attack pressed. She was aiming to move in hard and fast, to push until she could force Ibaraki near to the walls of the smaller arena, where she'd run out of places to dodge. Not every strike could be empowered, but as the red light formed slowly, could Ibaraki be sure which one was the one that would be augmented? Tenshi couldn't take any chances in giving her a moment to actually pick it out, hoping to keep her on the defensive long enough to get a good hit in.
Above all, she didn't want to keep this going too long. That could be dangerous.]
no subject
[She was bolstered by that mocking to reignite her offensive. Letting a clawed hand slash out at Tenshi's silly clothes. At least it distracted her for a few moments from trying to get the Celestial to part with her sword? There wasn't really much room to maneuver now anyway. Leading the oni to become more aggressive than before.
Once again, she is tempted to use her morphing ability. But decided to save that for a later date. At least she's still in control of herself this time around.
Her focus was no longer on trying to stop whatever was happening, as much as it was to get out of the current space she was in. That also meant plenty of openings for Tenshi to take.]
no subject
So, Tenshi took advantage of one of those openings. Lunging in just after the claws raked, she brought her blade up. Crimson energy wreathed it and the same antipodal force was filling the weapon as it whipped in across the short distance. When the blunt of the blade slammed in, the Celestial aimed to use the wall of the arena, hoping for a good one-two punch, first from her attack and then the wall.]
no subject
She slumps against the wall, sliding down.
Ugh, great, just great. Just what she wanted to experience again. Getting slammed against another wall. She really hates this place!]
no subject
I win this round, Ibaraki.
[Fuck, she hoped she conceded. She could keep this going, but she was starting to realize that they probably both had to be careful if they didn't want to do serious damage, and for all her bluster? She definitely didn't want to do that.]
no subject
[She doesn't look like she wants to give up, if anything Ibaraki looks more embarrassed and annoyed than anything. Oni are prideful creatures and Ibaraki is no exception.]
That's--!
[The bell rings after the oni fails to stand up. Indicating Tenshi's win. Whether or not Ibaraki herself conceded, she is still the one with the breath knocked out of her, on the ground, and a sword pointed her way.]
Tch, no way, damn it all!
no subject
Heh. You're mine tonight. But just think of it this way. You've seen what I'm really capable of. Next time, maybe you'll beat heaven, mmm?
[She was honest enough to acknowledge that she wasn't going to win every round against Ibaraki. It'd been close as is. She swallowed and looked at her, her breathing still really animated. She wanted to collar her here, where everyone could see it happen, but she wasn't going to risk the oni's pride. She knew better than to do that.]
no subject
That's-!
[More grumbling from her a bet is a bet. Ibaraki would rather not fulfil her end of any bargain. But... grrr! She pouts.]
...Fine, lets go and get this over with.
[She actually was half expecting her to put that collar thing on her right here and now. Ibaraki still thinks there's some sort of trap or gimmick to it.]
no subject
She motioned and started to head towards the exit, giving a little bow to folks but paying far more attention to Ibaraki. When they were out from under the gate, she nodded over at one of the employees, who brought her a chip that she pocketed and she leaned against the wall, taking the leash into her hand while she winked over at Ibaraki.]
Oh don't worry. We're going to have fun tonight, Ibaraki. I still want to hear you moan for me after all.
(OOC: Since she runs off to catch up with Shuten later in the night, we can assume the scene ultimately ends about the time they're both exhausted and Tenshi's just lying back, half asleep in a hotel room.)
