Hello. I have a question for all the Lost Souls:
What is love in your reality?
To be more specific, I am talking about the kind of love you find between two lovers. I realize how strange this question may sound. But this is very important to me and I would appreciate it if as many people as possible could reply to this with serious answers.
PS: please don't reply with a link to Haddaway's song.

[ That's kind of what it sounded like, right? Of course, that means she's totally picturing her interlocutor as looking just like Gandalf. ]
I do think your definition of love is beautiful. And I do very much agree that no matter the form it takes, love should be cherished.
But doesn't romantic love exist in your reality? The sort that binds two people to each other?

Indeed I am. I am Shylock Benett, a wizard of the West and a junior lieutenant of the Tamamo Clan. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, dear Anonymous.
Romantic love may as well be the most powerful form of love there is. I did not mean to say that it was nonexistent, but there are other forms of love that can't simply be categorized as this and that. Anything that makes your heart throb both in elation and in excruciating pain counts as love.

I see what you mean. I suppose I did somewhat forget about those other kind of love while thinking of romantic love...
And that's bad isn't it? When one love eclipses all others? Then... You lose sight of what matters.

You're the first to say so here. Though it's reassuring to hear at least one person say so.

But is that so? That's not so surprising. We Western wizards advocate for love in all forms. Shall we fall in love, we do it wholeheartedly. Not everyone shares our ideals, and that is fine.

I will be sure to keep those words at heart. They've been very enlightening to me!
[ It's okay to abandon your friends and delete them because you're in love...! That's not what he said, but that sounds close enough to it. Good advice.
Not that she plans to ever do something so vile again, but that makes her feel a tad less guilty! ]

I am glad to be of help.
