Hello. I have a question for all the Lost Souls:
What is love in your reality?
To be more specific, I am talking about the kind of love you find between two lovers. I realize how strange this question may sound. But this is very important to me and I would appreciate it if as many people as possible could reply to this with serious answers.
PS: please don't reply with a link to Haddaway's song.

[His life was pretty limited. And then there's his current life...]

Where I come from love rarely ended well as well. But maybe beyond our realities, there is happiness to be found.

It did make me wonder sometimes. Although, not just about romantic love. Just love in general.

That's one of humanity's greatest strength. To seek what they want without holding back.
[Bad things might happen, but the alternative is doing nothing and have regrets.]

I agree. Though some would call it a flaw.
[ Like literally anyone who was in her path when she sought her happy ending. ]

[To give up on fortune, power, a better lot in life...]

Seeking what you want without holding back... What if doing so hurts people? Wrongs them? Even if that's love you are seeking, it'd be a flaw I think.

I believe that is something you have to figure out for yourself. I don't know what's your situation, but if I have to say something?
Thinking about this and worrying over it is quite normal. What I'm wondering about is: Do you still want to pursue love, flaws and all?

That's why I'm asking this question. I tried figuring this out for myself... And it did not end well.
I do not want "love" to result in suffering again.

You're aware of the flaws, and how you seems like you don't want to repeat your mistakes (I assume?). That's one step done. You just need to figure out what to do next, and you can seek more advice from others. As long you're able to act without regret at the end, no matter which path you take.
That's all I can say. After all, I'm not you. It's your story.

Thank you. I realize you cannot say more, but what you told me has give me a lot to think on.
