[ The video cuts in to Musashi's office, small as it was (and more than a bit messy at this point) at Mizukume, but she's quick to reconsider this and cuts the feed.

Only to re-open on one of the courtyard gardens of Mizukume, sitting on a bench. She's still in her work attire, and she'll get to that, but more to the point, she's probably a recognizeable face to most of the clan by now.

Hello, new lost souls of the Tamamo Clan! My name is Shinmen Musashi no Kami Fujiwara no Harunobu, but you can just call me Miyamoto Musashi. Or just Musashi, really, I'm not hung on formality.

I am your high-lieutenant and main liaison for Lost Souls here in the Tamamo Clan! My own lieutenant is Shylock Bennett, and the other seniors are Robin Laffite, Tenshi Hinanawi, Jin Guangyao, Nie Huaisang, Gao Yizhi, Chongyun, Aerith Gainsborough, and... Billy The Kid. Just call him Billy.

A-anyways, those are the names of folks you can go to if you have any questions or needs! We're all here to help you get settled!

[ Whew, that was a lot of names to say and memorize at once. A-anyways, moving on. ]

Firstly, as representatives of the Tamamo Clan, while we don't have a formal dress code, you are expected to dress nicely, as nicely as you can manage, anyways. Given what our clan represents, this probably makes sense, but if you need help getting nicer stuff, the local boutiques and tailors DO have a work-exchange program where you can get some good clothes in exchange for a little labor.

Also, most importantly... [ She gestures to the shiny pin on her jacket lapel, the kanji for Tamamo emblazoned on it. ] If you're on the clock, you'll want this on display at all times. We have plenty of them here at Mizukume, so stop by the offices to grab yours. Trust me, it's important.

There'll be a party of some sort soon to make sure everyone gets to know one another, but otherwise, you guys have a free week to just settle then. After that, we all have to get to work, okay?

[ She pumps her fist, winking at the camera. ]

And about the Stardust thing! I don't know the exact reason the boss lady needs the stuff, but I know those cash handouts are gonna be a lifesaver early on. Trust me. Get that money.

[ Musashi rubbed at her face a bit, sighing. ]

[ She may as well show her shame, here. She takes the camera back, cutting the feed briefly before it's back on Musashi's office.

The place is cluttered with empty conbini noodle cases, beer cans, a seemingly broken clothes rack with some of her other outfits on it, stacks of magazines, a safe that was really just serving as a shelf for more clutter, and a rack for her swords that was just raw wood, unlacquered. ]

[ Hands on her hips, she leans over. ]

That won't do! What if Tenkohime sees? I'll be over to clean it up, and give you a companion, too!

It's fine, it's fine! [ It wasn't fine. ]

Look, I'm just... having trouble settling in, is all!

[ Aerith folds her arms, quirks an eyebrow, and grins with an air of mischief— it's a small office, which means that any mess is going to accumulate quickly. A place you're proud to show up in is better than an office you never wanted, isn't it? ]

How about an office-warming gift, then? I mean, I was planning to give it to you, but, looks like you'll need a little bit of a peptalk, too, won't you?

I never really did get to do much with it when I first got it... Hell, I was living in it during the calamity...

[ Okay, okay, she sucks in a breath and... Centers herself, rubbing at her cheeks. ]

Alright. You're absolutely right, I need to get this place clean and spruced up. And... thank you for offering. I dunno why I'm being so stubborn about this.

[ Well. No, she did know. Because she felt like she hardly fit any of this. The rank, the office, the responsibilities and expectations of leadership... They were growing pains, to say the least. ]

[ As Musashi works out the words under Aerith's pressure, the florist busies herself. The phone is settled onto a table, and she begins to clip stems from flowers, arranging them into something, gaze upon her work, but ears trained to Musashi's voice. ]

Maybe spruced up is a bit much right now. One step at a time, right? But for now, getting it clean so you can breathe in there and not feel embarrassed about us seeing you in there... that's best. You should feel like it's your's, first.

I'm so happy to hear about the exchange program for clothing!! I was getting a little worried, since I've been eying off some of the clubs for work, but only one outfit's been driving me mad...

That's another weird thing, it being "mine". I was a lifetime vagabond before arriving here, so I'm not used to that kind of thing.

as far as work goes, don't worry too much about that. the restaurants and boutiques are always hiring. plus we get paid for all sorts of odd jobs work.
