[ When the camera feed clicks onto focus, it's settled on the frame of a young woman. Dressed in a pink dress with a red biker's jacket, she adjusts something out of view briefly. To some, this is likely a very familiar image: Aerith never seems to stop working, always looking to do something. In this case, it's clear she outdoors, under the warm glow of Hell's sun (or the equivalent of it, at least.)
She comes back into view, braid slipping back over her shoulder as she turns her head back to the camera. A woven wicker basket slipped over her arm and hanging from her elbow, she smiles brilliantly, brightly, and without abandon. ]
Heya!
[ Normal greeting so far. Still, it's not like the network is her usual point of address at this point. The camera stays balanced, on a chair, or table, or something else, perhaps. Aerith steps back several feet to reveal the area she's in: A field of flowers. Keen-eyed viewers will see that there's a number of different breeds of flowers decorating the open field. People with familiarity of the city might note that this appears to be an area in neutral territory that was underdeveloped and forgotten at some point. Nature had been reclaiming it, but with greenery, dying trees, and burnt grass. This space had no flowers, as late as just a few hours ago.
Until now.
They stand in full bloom, impossibly bright and cheerful, as if giving their own greeting to the audience. The woman in the pink dress, Aerith, places her hands together, over her lap, excitedly turning back to look out into the field as her hair trails in the wind. Then, turning back to the camera, she leans forward at the hips and places her knuckles there, too. ]
So, what do you think? Not too bad, huh? It took a while, but I managed to make them all grow myself. I... really want to fill this place up with flowers. After everything we've been through, I think that'd be nice. Don't you? Everyone needs a reminder from time to time that life never stops moving. It keeps growing, and blossoming, no matter what. I think we can be like flowers in our way, and these children will be a good reminder! Now, let's get started on that, shall we? If anyone wants some flowers, let me know.
If you need something specific, I'll make it for you. Sky's the limit, so don't hold back. As for the price, we'll negotiate. I've got experience with this, so leave it to me.
[ Guess who unlocked the ability to grow flowers at will? This gal. ]

[And here's Norimune with a smile, and looking pretty okay as well. He thinks for a moment...]
How about some chrysanthemum? I'm quite partial to red ones.
[Humans normally place strong importance on that flower. But who knows how much that get carried over to other lands, and to youkai.]

[ On her side of the feed, Aerith turns to make her way to a spot that hasn't been stuffed full with flowers just yet. Leaning down, she puts her hands to the grass, and then starts her work. It takes a few minutes, but the plant will grow, and one flower will bloom, unfolding with all the grace of someone waking up.
Aerith wipes the sweat from her forehead and sighs. ]
Gonna take some more work, but yeah? Not too bad!
no subject
Amazing! And it looks wonderful as well. [If he's more poetically incline, this might inspire poetry.] I've no doubt that it's tiring work. You can create the flowers themselves from nothing?
no subject
It can be! Tiring, that is. But I love seeing them bloom, especially with all that energy... It's like they're waking up in the morning. I hope they live for a long time, and make people happy for even longer.

[That's what hanami is all about. That, and partying with loved ones.]
If you want them to live for a long time, that means taking care of them. Are you going to look after all of them?
no subject
Yep, I am. Thing is, I'm planning to keep pretty busy taking care of them all... would you want to help?
no subject
For you, I wouldn't mind lending a hand. Only when I have time, of course!
[The life of a poor Enma cop.]

[ Good enough, but she gets the impression that it's out of necessity, really. ]
I didn't know you could garden.
no subject
[Not by choice, really.]
I'd normally let the younger ones do it at any other time.
[He try to ditch and dump the work on them...]
no subject
Really? What's it like working on a farm?
no subject
[He's exaggerating. He's perfectly aware of his own limits, he can handle the usual work. Despite all that, he gives a smile.]
But it's not too bad sometimes, if it means watching everyone enjoying the fruits of your labour.

[ Gardening is tough! ]
Guess that means I could rely on you if I need any help, right?
[ :) ]
no subject
I'll give it my best try, Miss Aerith. Hopefully this old man wouldn't be a bother.
[It's gardening, so maybe it's easier than harvesting crops. Right? ... Right??]

How scary! Do be gentle if you have to do that.
no subject
Me? Scary? As if I could ever be!
[ A beat. ]
But it'll depend on you, Norimune!
