Hello. I've been told of the dangers of giving my name and picture to a wide network before, please accept my username for now.

There has been a lot happen here, but one thing sticks in my mind in the quieter hours that I would rather it not. I'd like to hear about the experiences people have with leaving others behind. Good or bad. Here, home, or another world. I've tried writing letters. A new notebook since my old one is lost to me. The new one doesn't seem to feel the same way. I've tried late night work outs, jogs, odd jobs in the evening, wandering and what one gentleman called the "night life" which I still don't completely understand. I could go to the same places in the day. All in all, I'm out of ideas.

Hearing any way that you deal with those thoughts constructively is something I'd be thankful for.

They are. Sometimes I end up making more food than I need, which benefits my neighbours here but it's absent mindedness on my part. Or I wake up and swear I only need to sit up and call to my roommate to wake them up in the morning.

cooking extra, seeking out people... i think those things will help your relationships here more than hurt them.

but everything comes back. flowers bloom again. as long as you remember them, you can carry that with you.

I do. Every day. I know it isn't the same and I know this is personal, but is that how it works, that the memories become enough?

everything you're describing, the routine, the food, taking care of others... they're gifts given to you by the people around you that you cared for. their memories, their words, their lives, all of it still live on in those little acts you do. the memories aren't just enough. you're keeping them with you by doing those small things. introducing your new friends to your old friends...

it might be over, but it isn't without meaning.

I don't really know what to say. You're right. Not an impactful statement on my part. I wish I could convey what it made me feel to hear it. I think it was more than what I needed to hear. In the best way.

More than help. I had someone in my life who smiled and it felt like I could take on the world. I don't smile very often, but if there are people I could prop up like that, I'd count myself lucky.

sharing that is the most important thing you can do. you're very lucky to have met them at all. don't give up on sharing your life with them!

I am lucky. Maybe they'll be here one day, too. I hope they manage to get home, or here one day.

My favourite flower? I don't have one, but my mother's favourite is the Rindou flower. I suppose that makes it my favourite. You an enthusiast, judging by your user name?

i am! most gardens here are private, but i really want to make this whole place go up with them some day. i think it'd be nice, and we kind of need it now... i think. the rindou flower is a really interesting answer, i don't think anyone's said that one to me before. apparently they're associated with overcoming diseases because they only grow when the sun is shining, and the root's useful in medicine. i hear it tastes bitter.

Are they? My mother wasn't well for a while. She's getting better. It could've been the flowers.

[Her help actually meant a ton to him, not that everyone else helping isn't appreciated, but hearing that is exactly what he needed to hear. Unless she tells him he's gotta go, she's just earned herself a willing helper.]

Maybe. I visited her in the hospital a lot after school and saw them there every time. I'm not certain of the rest. We're able to talk and see each other now, at least.

I patrol because I want people to be safe and to feel safe, but I do have a license that isn't useful here. How did you know?

If someone were casing a business then we would know. Preventative countermeasures are important and any sort of information would be helpful. Not only but it would stop some people who could just be in need of a hand instead of turning to a life of crime. There are a multitude of ways you could help. Even discerning innocence from someone who might be framed otherwise.
