I guess introductions are in order. I am the Yorktown class aircraft carrier, Enterprise. Hull number CV-6. "Grey Ghost" is one of the many nicknames I have. If any of you recognize it.
[She currently sat with her captain's hat and officer's coat hanging off in the background. Her massive bow hanging nearby her rigging. In her hand was a warm cup of coffee that she took her time sipping on.]
With that out of the way, I was wondering what your homes are like. Or, if you don't want to answer that, maybe something about yourselves. Especially if you're from the Sutoku Alliance.

[To put it loosely and easily.]
Tattoos and meat... do you have any favorite artwork or dishes? I'm rather fond of meat as well.
no subject
i like watercolor style and lineless tats, though. they're different and not a lot of my clients get 'em. i'm mostly doing classic tattoo work cuz most people just want the same shit over and over again
i eat it raw tho.

For some a traditional tattoo is what most would think of when they talk about tattoos. For others that I know of in the Navy, more classic tattoos hold special meaning. What work do you advertise?
As for meat... I have eaten raw meat before. Depending on who the chef is it can be really good. Do you have any recommendations here?

what a shock.]Wait. Aircraft carrier? But you'reβ...? Aircraft carrier??
[ he's just wrapped his head around sword boys he needs a minute for shipgirls. ]

Yes, an aircraft carrier. Like I said, I'm the second of the Eagle Union's Yorktown class carriers, USS Enterprise. My hull number is CV-6.
[Said plainly and as matter of fact as possible as she repeated herself.]
I've already gleamed that I'm more than a little bit of an oddity for everyone here. But I also wasn't certain how many might recognize me.
[Probably understating it here.]

[ once he's thinking about it more calmly, it's really no different at all from any of the rest. they could start a funny little support group. ]
I guess you could say I have something of an interest in warships... [ to understate things entirely. ] So it's mostly really exciting!
no subject
That's also something I've gathered from the few I've managed to speak with.
[That, given everything else, an anthropomorphic ship shouldn't be considered all that odd. There are others still, who might find it kind of... weird. Or maybe mental.
Wnty herself is at least used to the notion of a multiverse and places that lack shipgirls.]
Hm? Are you? Is it a hobby of yours, or more of a job?

[ Wait. Right. He's- he's not supposed to know about the future. Keep it under wraps, Tamamori. ]
An American aircraft carrier can sit and talk as a person, can drink as well...do you have little planes? Would they be birds? Smaller people, like European fairies...?
Sorry, this is a lot more interesting to think about than explaining home!
Re: [text] UN: tamamori
[She really hadn't been expecting this. Mostly the Kansan figured that she'd be given a few confused looks.]
To answer your question. They're fully functional, normal sized aircraft that I can fire and control at will.
[Granted she currently doesn't have access to them, but given her ship parts in the background that might change.]
no subject
[ On one hand, terrifying. On the other hand...he is still a little kid who wants to see an aeroplane up close. Hrm, decisions... ]
Are other... [ He doesn't want to say 'things'. That'd be rude. But, uh...how does he say this...? ] Boats and the like, are they the same? Surely if any ship would develop a spirit, the Nagato would. [ He's technically not supposed to know that fact either, but the ship's aid during the Great Kanto Earthquake is too much to ignore. ]
no subject
[If she's ever able to have access to them here. It would certainly be interesting to have access to them again.]
Of course, there's plenty other ships like me out there. Nagato is also one of them. [Granted, Enty could really only speak about Nagato in a more-or-less courteous manner.]
Unfortunately, I'm not precisely in regular contact with them.

I've always been fascinated by ships and submarines and planes. The scientific fiction here seems to support that interest, so many people here should be receptive of your world, as well! Better than the dinosaur craze, or the Venusians and Martians phenomena...
[ He's just mad aliens aren't real. That he knows of. ]
no subject
It would all come in baby steps.]
That's very kind of you to say. I'm sure most are after having a bit of time to let it sink in. It would probably just be another thing to add to their list of oddities. [A soft smile is thrown his way in return.]
You're interested in the Navy, are you?
no subject
They used to be confined to simple scientific fiction, so seeing their genuine advancements, the things they can do now like scanning the ocean floor, and being able to coordinate with planes, and using radio signals!! It's all stunning feats of ingenuity! It gives that feeling of, 'anything is possible'.
Of course, here we have little phones that can search for any information within our hand here in hell, so maybe I shouldn't be waxing poetical...but I'm still a simple boy who finds awe in everything.
no subject
[She might also expand on it further. To point out that those ships also carry along human ingenuity, craftsmanship, their hopes, dreams, and yearning to explore and expand beyond themselves and their horizon.]
You sound like you're interested in mechanical engineering. It's fine to find awe in things. Especially something new to you, like a cellphone. Are there things here that you're not quite used to yet?

But what would you consider is the right kind of trouble?

That is usually the best kind of a threat. Have you been settling in well then? To this place, I mean.
