Hello. I am a bit new to this sort of technology so sorry if I'm making any mistakes but hopefully everyone will see this.

My name is Cain Knightley. I'd attach a picture if I knew how, but I'm not really sure how the camera works?

I know it sounds odd but if you meet me, I can't see anyone until I touch them. It's a curse I got from fighting the moon and other wizards have them, but that's their right to tell you.

I'm just stating this now so I won't run into as much trouble later. Sorry for any sort of incidents I've caused before!

Also, if any of you guys have one of these funky little clay statues but doesn't want to go to the Enma department, please just give them to me. I'll ensure they get there safely.

Did you do something to it? If you're careful it shouldn't do anything. I've picked up a bunch and I've been fine.

And no, they don't. Any technology we have is mostly West made and runs on mana stones.

I'd think that wizards would have invented their own equivalent of phones and cameras. But I guess maybe you were too busy fighting the moon?

I mean if they are really cursed statues, that's probably why you got affected. You should be more careful around any others that you see. Are you okay?

And there is technology, but it's mostly centered in the West. And well, it's a bit of a touchy subject.

Magic does have its own limits too. Though I wonder if Oz could do anything similar....

Mm, I think so? I stopped hallucinating after I got far enough away from it.

[Well....no. There were literary references all over the place but good thing the wizards didn't know anything about it. He'd find it kind of funny though.]

I can't use my magic right now and I'm not good with curses but I have a friend who might know more.

No I think it was because of the haniwa, since they stopped as soon as I got a fair distance away from it. I'm okay now! You don't need to worry about me.

Well, I'm glad it cleared up. Curses can be really hard to get rid of, and I don't have my magic so I wouldn't be able to help you.

Curse breaking was more Mr. Faust's expertise anyway.

Hmm? Do you mean Faust? He does share a name with a saint in our world, but he insists he's not the same person.

Aah. Where I'm from, there's a famous book about a character with that name who made a deal with the devil for unlimited knowledge in exchange for his soul. It's so well known that people use the term "faustian" for any deal where you gain something material at the expense of something more philosophical like your principles or moral code.

Really? I wonder if the Sage knows about that, then. I mean, Faust is a maledictor and tries to appear like he doesn't care about anyone, but he's actually very kind. So I don't know if he'd do anything like that.

Maybe if the devil was shaped like a cat?

I mean, that book might not exist in your world, it sounds pretty different from mine! Wizards are fictional and I don't think anyone has ever tried to fight the moon.

I mean, I'm not really good with books so I wouldn't know. But I guess maybe these things sound so odd to the both of us cause we're from different places. I think that's pretty cool.

Yeah! It's interesting talking to people here because some of us are from places that are similar and some aren't. I mean, magic and wizards are just fictional things where I'm from.
