Bero-kun's design is based on a motley depiction of several wind gods, if I'm remembering right...sometimes people will use a long streamer for his 'tongue'. It's all in good fun, but it also keeps things playful between us and the kami. Gods of wind and sea are stronger by coastal regions; I grew up in the mountains, so I can only imagine the strife of having a wind deity being cruel like that...

Flying a kite atop of a building...that sounds so modern!! But that would work really well for showing you how to fight kites, if this 'indoor ocean' doesn't. I may not be the best kite fighter ever, but I'm certainly better than most people in Aizu!!
